1977 Ph.D. in Economics, University of Birmingham. Thesis title Money and capital accumulation: a Keynesian model of economic growth, submitted 1976; degree awarded 1977. Awarded Ashley Prize for the best dissertation in Faculty of Commerce and Social Science. Key chapters published as articles in Oxford Economic Papers and Review of Political Economy (see publications list).
